Dr. Edwin Feliciano is a psychiatrist and the Behavioral Health Director at UCSB Student Health. UCSB Student Health is a fully accredited healthcare facility that provides comprehensive medical services. The Behavioral Health Department features a variety of psychiatric services, social work services, and drug and alcohol counseling. In addition, Dr. Edwin Feliciano is frequently sought by The Daily Nexus, UCSB’s student-run newspaper, for expert opinion and commentary on news events related to mental health. Before Dr. Feliciano started at UCSB, he was the Medical Director of the Alcohol, Drug, and Mental Health Services Department for Santa Barbara County.

Dr. Feliciano completed two-year training at the California HealthCare Foundation (CHCF) Leadership Program. This program was specifically for clinically-trained healthcare professionals with the intended goal of providing them with the experiences, competencies, and skills necessary to serve as leaders in California’s healthcare system. He was born and raised in Ponce, Puerto Rico. He would study at the University of Puerto Rico and complete his psychiatry residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia and Trenton Psychiatric Hospital where he served as Chief resident during the last year of residency.
